Port Hamble, Hamble

Building 10 at Port Hamble originally formed part of the working marina owned and operated by MDL located at the base of the River Hamble. The site comprised a large grey industrial shed together with a collection of retail buildings and a small bar prior to redevelopment proposals for the site being prepared. Genesis Town Planning worked with MDL by hosting an architectural competition for the sites redevelopment with the successful architect being invited to tender for the project. RBA Architects from Portsmouth were subsequently commissioned to design the development. A scheme of 4 luxury townhouses together with retail and commercial space created an eye catching and contemporary waterfront development using nautical themesĀ in the design as well as high quality materials. The development complemented recently completed works around the waterfront in Hamble significantly enhancing the visual quality of the area.
